Linda T. Brewer

Founding Member, Chair & President

Linda is the daughter of the late Dr. James P. Temple, Sr. and Mrs. Fay S. Temple. Linda and her children started Temple Legacy Foundation to carry forward the legacy of her parents to help college students reach their academic and professional goals just like Dr. Temple did years ago. Linda notes that Mrs. Temple was the backbone in keeping their marriage strong while Dr. Temple pursued his professional dreams. We, as a Foundation, know that trying to reach your dreams academically can be very expensive, therefore, the Foundation is here to serve students by helping them reach their goals with financial assistance through scholarships.

Linda shares that, like her parents helped many people from all walks of life for various reasons and never asked for recognition or anything in return, that is exactly what this Foundation is about. She shares how this Foundation’s mission is to reach students with the same goal as her parents, to give back to their community from the blessings they had received.

Linda is a practice manager at a medical clinic in Alexander City and resides in Dadeville. When not working, you’ll find her attending many Auburn athletic events, traveling to visit her children and grandchildren.

Robert McAlindon, MD

Vice President

Dr. Bob was lucky to have met Dr. Temple when he was in his late eighties and still practicing medicine. He shares that while Dr. Temple was in his late 80s, he was still practicing medicine like a 40-year-old fresh out of residency. Dr. Bob reflects on how Dr. Temple always studied, every day, came to work early and spent as much time as he could with his people. He also admired how Dr. Temple took his patients’ problems home with him, as he was constantly worried and cared for his patients, staff, and community. We all have mentors or beacons in our life, and Dr. Bob says Dr. Temple was certainly one of his. As a founding Board Member, Dr. Bob shared Dr. Temple’s spirit was one of being better each day and helping those around us, and hoped for another day to do it again, and that is why without hesitation he joined the Foundation.

Dr. Bob resides in Auburn where he is a practicing orthopedic surgeon.

Michael T. McWilliams

Founding Member, Treasurer, Director

Michael McWilliams helped found Temple Legacy Foundation in honor of the personal support and encouragement he received from his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. James P. Temple, Sr., while pursuing his education at Auburn University. Their generosity not only helped him achieve his goals but also inspired him through the countless lives they impacted along the way.

While enrolled in Auburn University's Flight Education program, Michael worked at the Auburn University Regional Airport and later served as a flight instructor for the University. Michael is an airline pilot and resides in Auburn.

Wendy Cleveland

Secretary

Wendy knew Dr. Temple as a great physician and an avid Auburn fan, but more importantly, as her Uncle James. As a pharmacist and lover of all things Auburn, she is honored to promote Temple Legacy Foundation and keep the memory of Dr. and Mrs. Temple alive. As a founding Board Member, Wendy also fulfills the Foundation’s bylaws requirement of having an Auburn pharmacist serve on the Foundation’s board.

If you don’t see Wendy spending time with her family or at anything Auburn, you’ll catch her at a local pharmacy in Sylacauga.

Amy Fisher

Member at Large

As a long-time friend of the Founders, Amy is someone who feels a call to college students and strongly believes in what the Foundation is doing. Amy also brings non-profit organization knowledge to the table for the Board. Amy, and her husband Jack, own two non-profit coffee shops in Auburn, One Bike Coffee. Because of Amy, the Foundation has formed a partnership with One Bike Coffee to treat students with coffee and treats over their study and exam days.

Amy resides in Opelika and is a medical practice manager.

Michelle Templeton

Founding Member, Advisor to the Board

As a granddaughter of the Foundation’s namesake, being a part of Temple Legacy Foundation is a privilege for Michelle. Her grandfather’s commitment to serving others as a pharmacist and physician, along with his unwavering work ethic, left a lasting impact on her family. As a mother of four, she understands the importance of investing in future generations and creating opportunities that can change the trajectory of a person’s life. Supporting the Foundation allows her to honor Dr. and Mrs. Temple’s legacy while helping hardworking students pursue their dreams and continue a tradition of service, excellence and care for others.

Michelle has over 20 years of service with an insurance company where today she is a territory sales leader. When not working, you can probably find her at her children’s events, at other organizations her family supports, or cheering on the Tigers. Michelle and her family reside in Carrollton, Georgia.

Bethany Blair

Bethany is an Auburn alum, class of 2007 with a degree in marketing. She is a lifelong friend of the Foundation’s founding family and loves to serve the Foundation in whatever capacity she is needed. When it comes to Auburn, Bethany loves cheering on the Tigers and all things Auburn. She loves spending time with her family and participating in her church activities.

Bethany lives in Alexander City and works as an accountant.

Leane Reynolds graduated from Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy in 2018 where today she is a local pharmacist in Auburn. Leane enjoys getting to know young professionals and connecting with graduates. She was drawn to be involved with the Foundation because of its core values. She truly believes in caring for patients as a whole. Like Dr. Temple, while she does focus on medicine, Leane believes in building strong relationships, servantship, and a strong work ethic.

Leane resides in Opelika and when not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Tigers and the Atlanta Braves.

Callie is a fourth-year pharmacy student at Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has developed a strong passion for service, leadership, and investing in others. She was the Foundation’s student liaison, joining the Foundation in 2024, because she values its commitment to supporting students and strengthening communities through education. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue helping advance Temple Legacy Foundation’s mission and connect with individuals who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

While a volunteer position and not guaranteed a scholarship, the Board of Directors and other Volunteers unanimously agreed to award Callie the first Legacy Award upon its creation in May 2026 for the years of service she has provided to the Auburn pharmacy program and the Foundation. She truly was instrumental in building our student volunteer program and for that, the Foundation will be forever indebted to her leadership.

Faith Simmons

Faith is from a small Florida town, Chumuckla. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, thrifting, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She currently serves as student liaison for the Harrison College of Pharmacy Mobile campus. She was drawn to the Foundation because of its meaningful mission and the positive impact it has on pharmacy students.

Anna is a pharmacy student from Birmingham, Alabama. She completed her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and has been an Auburn fan her whole life! She is involved with the Foundation because she admires the mission and passion for supporting students. For Anna, serving others has always been important, so when she found out about Temple Legacy Foundation that supports students while also sharing a Christian foundation, she knew she wanted to be involved!
